Special Meeting
April 7th, 2004
7:00 PM
Attending Members: Joseph Colangelo, Ed Taiman, Mike Pinatti, Mike Harnad, and Steve Swart. Al Sadow was also in attendance.
Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from the previous WRC meeting were reviewed. The motion to accept was by Mike Harnad with a second by Ed Taiman.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
There is a need for sod replacement at the 90’ base-path ball field at the Town Hall Office Athletic Field. Al Sadow brought a proposed cost to the WRC from Liberty Landscaping Company. This proposed cost included the following: Remove all sod from the infield area and adjacent base-paths. Prepare the soil with fertilizer and lime. Replace the area with 9,000sqft of new sod from a local farm, appropriate to the use of the field. Guarantee the sod for a two-year period (This would include the baseball season of 04 and 05). The cost was reported as $4,900.00. This will be paid with money that was earmarked for the improvement of this field in 2004.
Joseph Colangelo made a motion to accept the proposal, which was seconded by Steve Swart. The WRC was unanimous in accepting the proposal.
ADJOURMENT:
There was a motion made by Steve Swart to adjourn, which Mike Harnad seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 7:25PM. The next regular WRC meeting was scheduled for April 27,2004 at 7:00PM.
